All of our housing units are private apartments complete with kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedrooms. Shared spaces include stairways, basements, yards, parking areas, lobbies, and meeting rooms. We do not offer any shared or collective living spaces such as a collective houses or dormitories.
Raise-Op operates two different types of housing.

Blake & Walnut is owned by a Partnership with Raise-Op and Evernorth, financed by Maine Housing, and the property is professionally managed by Lewiston Housing. Residents are Tenants and can meet together to discuss the property and provide input. Resident Services are provided by Raise-Op staff. These new buildings do not require renovation and home modifications are not permitted.

Maple & Pierce are cooperatively owned and self-managed by the Residents with support from Raise-Op staff. Buildings are financed by City of Lewiston and Coop Fund of New England. Residents are cooperative homeowner Members and have the greatest level of responsibility for the operation of their home and the organization. They also live in our older buildings where more ongoing renovation is required, which also allows for more home modifications.
