ABOUT US

Maine's Oldest Urban Housing Cooperative

Our project began in 2008 with a 3-unit  building on Maple Street. In 2014 we began expanding and today we operate 3 apartment buildings, 15 apartments, with over 50 residents on Maple and Pierce Street in Lewiston.  Today we are Maine's oldest, urban, multi-unit housing cooperative.

We also have a fourth building that serves as meeting space for our members and community space for another local non-profit organization.    We  participate in many community development projects, including community gardens,  public art,  neighborhood cleanups, and public education.  We work closely with other organizations that promote human rights, racial justice, and cooperative economics.
