Application Process
Housing units owned by the Raise-Op are leased to those applicants who are approved for membership and purchase a share of stock in the cooperative.  Shares are available for purchase as housing units become available.  Below are the steps which describe the process of becoming a member and living at the Raise-Op:
  1. If applicant is unfamiliar with the Raise-Op, we recommend first contacting us to learn more about the opportunities and responsibilities of living in a housing cooperative
  2. Applicant submits completed membership application
  3. If applicant qualifies, they are invited to an interview with the application committee
  4. Applicant may be approved for membership at the discretion of the Raise-Op board
  5. If housing units are available, approved applicants may purchase one   member share   and become an official member
  6. Member will then sign a lease agreement with the Raise-Op and move into their apartment

Approved for Membership List
It is possible that more applicants may be approved for membership than there are available housing units to lease.  In this case, those people approved for membership may be added to a list and notified as units become available.
